This might be a good time to say a quick word about social media...

Facebook? Technically I'm on it, but I'm not really "on it”. Reaching out to me on Facebook will be about as effective as yelling my name into a storage locker abandoned inside another storage locker somewhere in South Dakota. I'm more active on Instagram (@jeanhanff), but if you reach out to me there I’ll probably just direct you to this very page on my website.

In short, if you'd like to contact me, you’re in the right place, and this form will do the trick.

*Blurb Requests: to quote Meatloaf (or, more accurately, Jim Steinman,) I would do anything for love, but I won’t do that. In other words, I do not provide pre-publication blurbs for use in publicity. (In many years, I have broken this rule only once, for a close friend.) This is an unusual policy, but not an unheard of one, and I hope you will respect it. I am happy about your book and will probably want to read it, but if you’re reaching out to me about a pre-publication blurb…I’m sorry.

 * Book Group Invitations: I love book groups, I’m thrilled when they select one of my books, and I am more than happy to Zoom with them, free of charge. My only request is that each member purchases the book (and yes, e-books and audiobooks are purchases!) That’s not the way some book groups operate, and I certainly respect that, but before reaching out to me about a Zoom visit, please come to a consensus about it. The last thing I want to do is decline your kind invitation.
